Ben-Hur

Ben-Hur deserves all the praise it gets. This film is excellent. Not only is it well written but it’s well directed and acted with a powerful narrative that can be appreciated even from a non religious perspective. There’s a reason this is such a revered classic. 9/10

Now THIS is what a movie with Christian elements should be like. This is the standard. And it’s incredibly high I fear.
Also how in the world did they film the chariot racing scene in 1959?!?

Nominated for 12 Oscar’s and won 11. This isn’t something I would put on naturally but I think everyone needs to see this once in their life. Good message behind it and the chariot scene and beautiful score throughout are top notch.

Wow, for a 3.75 hour long 50s movie this really impressed me. The whole thing was very captivating. I feel like the chariot racing scene was very well done given the time period this movie came out.
