Watched this so i didn’t have to read the book for class. Honestly wish i read the book instead.

I can’t ignore the importance of the themes and the importance of the story, however, when strictly talking film, this should have stayed a novel.

I also had to read the novel in highschool (i didn’t end up reading it then either) and this novel is hella poetic. It uses many forms of literary styles that just cannot be replicated in film form.

Because of this, the script felt really corny. Not just corny, but unnatural. The conversations that were had were very unrealistic.

Also because of this, the pacing and the way the story was told was unnatural.

And I’m not gonna lie, the performances in these were not good to me.

bro this is a really strange movie like even if the story behind is good because it’s denouncing what happed zing slavery and traumas , the events in the movie the music the ration with the gost kid ? wtf like

Good.

Interesting but some parts are confusing.

I don’t really get the end.

Kinda scary but overall great movie
