This was a cool and funky movie I think based on books? But we never got a sequel so that’s sad
It does feel like you’re missing some information like you should’ve watched something else before this but idk i still liked it even though he has an awful accent :)

i fucking hate country boys, everything abt them, the accent and all. i can’t stand them but smth abt ethan wate is too good. he’s so bad. esp in them glasses. and he’s so charming it’s honestly disrespectful how charming he is. lena is my girtrrllllll.

this movie is just too nostalgic it pisses me off. i used to know it literally by heart i was obsessed and read all of the sublime creatures books. i have a deeeeeeep love for everything gatlin

if i couldve gotten a second movie i would’ve fucking rallied. it’s serious. it’s honestly good that they didn’t come out with a second one cause i don’t think i would’ve acted like a functioning human.

why they not make more of these smh

The potential was there but it felt so uninspired

This movie did not get enough credit for how good the cast did with what little they were given. I just know there is hours of footage sitting on a hard drive somewhere of this cast showing up and showing off. Oh what could have been if studio quit thinking its preteens watching

truly mesmerizing to watch, a world with secret witches that captures your heart with a mix of impossible love, a war between the good and the bad. within all that, the gothic vibes of it were mesmerizing.

It never finds any kind of balance, going from tasteful but kind of dull to inane and sort of captivating.
