Biggest waste of 3 hours. I was quite literally pulling my hair out watching this. Some thoughts should just remain on paper and don’t need to be translated into film.

8.1 - the key is to shed any & all expectations. This isn’t Aster’s other movies. This is abstract, weird, confusing, ridiculous, upsetting, & funny. It’s not a horror - it’s an absurdist meta comedy. If it can go wrong in Beau’s neurotic mind it will, & that’s the beauty.

Very conflicted about my feelings on this. Overall, thought it was very well put together. But I resent the stories about people who “walked out” of the theatre just as I resent people who call it “genius.” I think it deserves another watch, absolutely, and overall I enjoyed it.

I believe this film sent some messages about cyclical abuse and self righteous guilt tripping, however, it sent these messages by traumatizing me. The movie really picked up mid-second act. Every time I was thinking it was about to end, something else would drive the plot further

Bizarre, fascinating odyssey full of mommy issues and panic attacks.
This film is jam packed with moving parts that seem completely random but are actually all connected. Definitely going to need a second watch.
Unlike anything I’ve gotten to see in theaters.

Waste of 3 hours, captivating yet aggravating because it didn’t add up to anything, the theme wasn’t well defined, no character development, not one interesting scene remotely at all

So weird idk how to feel

When I finished watching this film I spent 20min sitting on the couch wondering wtf did I just see. If you want to get high don't do drugs, watch this film 👍

And I thought Hereditary made me uncomfortable… the first 40 minutes of this is the most anxiety induced hell ever… and that’s the point. I also haven’t stopped laughing at the absurdity of everything. What’s wrong with me? Lol

This movie could have been 2 hours shorter and still completed the entire plot. It’s now 3 hours that I will never get back. However, I do enjoy the way they depicted Beau’s anxiety. Definitely not a movie I will ever watch again. 4/10

No idea what tf i just watched. Little storylines had potential to be something interesting but 50% of the movie never connected in the end

Entertaining the whole way thru and super duper confusing making it a fun rewatch
