Batman: The Killing Joke
The first half is so bad. Skip to 28:08, start there! I’ve watched this movie like 3 times, It’s better than I remember. I hate how Batman & Batgirl have a thing, it ruins the movie for me. The comic is 10x better. It is cool to see some parts recreated perfectly!

Didn’t like the ending and it was kind of weird all around. Don’t know how else to explain it.

Batman: The Killing Joke
8/10 - the first 30 minutes were so hard to watch, which is a pity because the rest of the movie is incredible and so enjoyable.
what ruined it for me was the romance between batman and barbara, completely unnecessary and out of place, and very very uncomfortable to watch.
what i loved most was definitely the joker’s character arch and how this movie explores his past life through flashbacks, it was really entertaining. the animation was impeccable and the characters designs too, like i said the only (huge) flaw was the weird relationship between batman and barbara - and also the fact that the script wasn’t the best, some things were too corny.
i saw a lot of reviews complaining about the brutality and rawness of certain scenes regarding the joker, but in my opinion i found them incredible. everything about them was disgusting, especially (spoiler!) *that* part with barbara, and how later the joker used the proof to psychologically torture and humiliate gordon.
it was all so in character, something so scary and creepy about the joker that sometimes is kept very well hidden. well, i’m glad this movie took the chance to describe that part of him more.
same thing about the ending, i saw lots of people complaining about it and saying how it was nonsense and boring. wrong! it was perfect. so unexpected and out of place, but somehow it fit so well with the scene and characters that were part of it.
i love how it’s an open ending, and i love how the joke could be interpreted in two opposite ways, depending on whose side you’re looking at, batman’s or the joker’s. also batman’s hand gesture in the last seconds was such a nice touch, i found it genius.
nobody actually knows what happens next, we can just imagine a possible ending.
