This was a really weird movie…why did Batman shave a bat on his head when going undercover….

🤣i cant stop laughing the whole movie. really creative but the anime style doesn’t really suit this batman movie…

I expected a typical Batman adventure, but this wild visual leap into feudal Japan anime totally blew my mind.

What Worked:
Mizusaki’s blend of anime styles and mo-cap gives the sword fights a super visceral, kinetic energy. Okazaki perfectly adapts Gotham’s rogues into historical Japanese archetypes. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing Batman stripped of his gadgets to rely purely on discipline and community beautifully illustrates how losing our worldly tools forces us to lean heavily on grace when facing darkness.

The Cuts:
Having two different scripts explains the disjointed dialogue, and the middle part really dragged for me with random exposition dumps. They crammed in way too many villains, totally sidelining awesome characters like Deathstroke. Keeping it spoiler-free, the massive third-act tonal shift gave me total whiplash, pivoting from a gritty ninja story into super over-the-top territory.

Verdict:
A visually gorgeous but messy experiment. Super fun if you love wild animation styles, but definitely skip it if you want traditional Batman.

Favorite Line: “A ninja relies on his skills, not his gadgets.”

DNF, not worth my time.
Constantly cringy and nonsensical. Disastrous writing, story, & characterization.  The art is nice (facial animation is off though). But seems like the movie is built around what is basically a fanart showcase of Batman characters in feudal Japan setting.

6.4/10 - Batman Ninja but why they add Megazord in there. So much wasted potential. Should explore more about ninja not the tech.

What... What can I even say to this? It's either the greatest thing ever or the worst migraine of your life, depending what mood you're in.

It's, seriously, no pun intended, batshit.

I’m not quite sure what this one even is. The artwork is beautiful. The story is… something. Pretty shallow and lacks cohesiveness. We also get a cross between Batman, Voltron, Transformers, Samurai, and video game split screens. I lost interest halfway thru and probably won’t be finishing it.
