So so so incredibly good wow. Could not take my eyes off the screen, this movie had me captivated. Hands down one of the best murder mysteries I’ve seen, if not the best.

Basic Instinct is an excellent erotic thriller that perfectly captures the feeling of 90s cinema. A mystery that unravels thoughtfully and carefully, though obviously for most. I really love how imbecilic the film makes its male main characters, who clearly see themselves as the stars of their own movie.

Sharon Stone is, in a word, unforgettable. She commands every scene. She delivers every line with such authority. She gives a truly amazing performance.

The story isn’t so shocking that you can’t see what’s coming, but it’s still so satisfying when you hold on that last frame. Dying to watch again just to appreciate the incredible hair and costuming.

7.1~A classic cinematic thriller filled with tension, obsession, and dangerous desire. The story unfolds through the eyes of men blinded by lust and ego, making reckless decisions without thinking of the consequences.It exposes human weakness and manipulation beneath the surface.

Femme fatale teetering on the edge of problematic. So much that doesn’t hold up but it’s a really great unintentional comedy. If not for the runtime it’d make for a great rewatchable popcorn flick. Nothing needs to be said about the women except jesus fucking christ ooga booga
