One of the better movies I’ve seen in a while. Beautifully shot. Wish I could experience it in a theater.

The only other surrealist film I’ve watched that I can compare it to was Holy Motors, and this felt like a much tamer, slower version of that. I watched the trailers afterwards, and definitely enjoyed them more than the movie itself

Overall I liked it. Definitely slow and weirdly paced. Very artistic but almost felt like nonsense sometimes. Beautifully shot and edited. Can’t say I loved it but I grew to enjoy it over the course of it. 6.5/10

Iñárritu entiende mejor que nadie que somos producto de lo que fue, lo que es y lo que podría haber sido. Es un poco del psique de su alter ego donde define lo inefable, encapsulando su estilo e identidad. La película logra la sensación de un sueño despierto.

Amazing movie but some people might find it a little boring

Yes this is a narcissistic movie, but whaybis wrong with that? AGI did it again, he was able to masterfully communicate every emotion he wanted to. Also, the cinematography is the best I’ve seen in years! The movie is a wild ride into a man’s brain. Keep an open mind.

I almost like this. The story lacked coherence, and felt more like a series of short films. Scene to scene the little concepts were great, like a scene where he speaks without a voice, or water filling up a subway. The first and last 10 minutes were the best ones.

Surrealism at its finest, beautifully shot and stay off your phone when you watch it or you’ll be lost quick.

This movie doesn’t make any sense. But very well directed and great cinematography! 6.0/10

Iñárritu creates an incredibly intricate and detailed story about identity through the dreamlike a surrealist world Bardo. The cinematography is probably the most stand out part of this movie, with the use of fish-eye lenses adding to the dreamlike feel of the film. 10/10

Masterfully crafted throughout all areas of production, delivery and structure however made this feel more like a fever dream than an actual story. It’s never lacking in quality, but is severely hindered by the same chaos it is eagerly presenting. 4/5
