Wanted to finish it since it's based in my home county Lancashire, but nothing could get me past the portrayals. I get the stereotypes of Northerners vs Southerners but to each other, we're both the same, and seeing it presented in such an immature and soggy way makes me want to eject myself from a plane. Also, why aren't there actual people from Burnely? I could list tons of local celebrities, not these people though. Acting matched the script in sogginess and you'd understand the story from its synopsis. I'm sure it has great messages but the whole thing withdraws watchability and deposits CBBC humour.

6.3 - Cusp meh/like. Have a strong feeling I may be much happier not looking up how much is true. It’s very safe and formulaic. But a decent feel good story, all the same. Acting is solid, and though it could have been a touch shorter, it wasn’t difficult to get through at all.

Just puts a huge smile on your face. Dave is the best protagonist you’ve ever wanted to root for! Love story wasn’t great, but it added to the feel-good nature of the movie. The court room scene was awesome!

Saw this early during a sneak night. Loved the brittishness. Recommend if you like Def Leppard, but should probably watch with subtitles.
