It works as light entertainment, but that depends on what entertains you. The main reason as to why I'm rating this so low is for its comedy, which is bizarre, chaotic, and extremely vulgar, more so than smart or actually funny. Other than that, it falls balls deep into the mediocre straight-to-stream category. Surprisingly, the casting was boringly bad. Hauser doesn't seem to suit comedic roles, and Mark brings nothing new or refreshing. The story is overwhelmingly typical, though I actually liked the idea of being trapped in a country that collectively hates you. All in all, the title fits.

laughed a bit more than i thought i would so points for that, just mindless fun. wouldn’t race to watch again but not mad at the entertainment for the night. 5.2/10

It’d be cool if this movie actually had a plot, I guess because its a comedy they thought they could shoehorn a half assed buddy duo (that imo doesn’t even truly work) and just have shit happen, Marky Mark carries heavy

I liked this way more than I was expecting to. Very vulgar but funny humor, and great chemistry between the two main characters. Liked all the events that happened to the guys lol. Cool ending as well.

Balls Up is a chaotic, over-the-top comedy that doesn’t take itself seriously at all. The plot is pretty simple, but it’s packed with awkward moments, wild situations, and a lot of hit-or-miss jokes. It’s not anything groundbreaking.

It was like a car crash where you know it’s bad, but can’t stop watching. I laughed the entire time. It was such a dumb movie. One of Mark’s better movies recently. Solid 6.5/10

One of the most funniest and craziest original comedies I have seen in a long time. Easily the best and hilarious comedy of 2026.
