Fun from start to finish. The soundtrack was fantastic. Every actor and actress delivered amazing performances. Loved the style and the storyline. Really a great movie all around. Highly recommend, only taking some points off because it was a little too long in my opinion

Very long, but didn’t drag too much. One of the best films I’ve seen in my life. Love letter to film, hate letter to Hollywood.

The time peace being inaccurate kind of threw the film for me. It was an okay story, even harder to believe with the artistic choice of including present day slang. I really do enjoy Damien Chazelle‘s film, though. I just wish there was more thought put into the time piece on this one. Damien as well always does an incredible job of including music but in this film it felt forced, sidneys plot line just kind of felt placed in there.
I also dont see the love story for manny and Nellie - I don’t feel their love story as I do with others and also can’t see what manny sees in Nellie. I’m happy he didn’t end up with her.
I like its ode to old films. The very ending sequence is edited together very cool and visually awesome, reminded me a bit of la la land but on drugs.

A crazy film about cinema, what’s not to love about it. The story was very interesting in which its tells the downfall of silence film too the beginning of sound. Overall it’s directed by one of the best directors working to day so it isn’t a surprise it was an absolute banger.
