Loved it as a kid. Solid background movie now.

This movie made me laugh so much.
The scene where the kid sets the pants on fire first time watching was laughing so had had to pause it and rewind to watch again

never forgotten it.

I completely forgot about this movie but remember loving it as a kid although even younger me thought it was a bit odd. Still a classic and I bet holds up to this day

Such a strange, simple film. Huge fan of the kidnappers being self described wise guys who matched every single silly stereotype possible, they truly were the heart and soul of the film. This is a legitimately hilarious slapstick comedy, there isn’t much else, maybe a bit slow in between gags, but it’s a great laugh. 3.5/5

i haven’t watched this movie since i was a kid, but it was as good as i remember if not better! such a cute movie with lots of laughs. i love that he lived out the book. overall, i give it a 8.7/10!
