silly how they were striving for authenticity, but settled for a poor slav english accent, instead of going all the way and speaking proper czech. confused as to why jan was chosen for this mission, given his apparent novelty. good movie though

The final scene with Ata had me in TEARS

I’ve wanted to watch Antheopoid for a long time, as I’m a fan of Cillian Murphy. I even own the film on DVD, but I never got around to it. It’s a very tragic retelling of World War II history that leaves you heartbroken, as most of WWII history does. You see the courageous men fighting the Nazi regime and what they are doing to Czech civilization. If you are interested in WW2 history, I recommend this film. At times, Cillian Murphy’s eyelashes could be distracting, but that's just because they are so beautiful.

Really liked this movie. Great story that I knew nothing about. Great acting and painful to watch at times. Absolutely loved it.

I “liked” this movie, but don’t get me wrong - I absolutely don’t want to ever watch it again. Fantastic acting, just horrifically and tragically and brutally sad. Notably, I thought it was going to be more of a spy movie than it ended up being.

'like' really, really is not the right word. A tragic period in Europe's history.

Knowing such horrific reprisals would follow, it remained rather unclear why it was worth it at all.
Quite realistic!

My first exposure to cillian murphy back in 2016, i wasn’t ready at all 😮‍💨

Great movie, that perfectly portrays the events of the real life Operation Anthropoid. The torture, the massacres, everything is based on reality and it is brutal and very touching. I only had a problem with the stupidity of the Germans during the final fight, it was unrealistic.

really good movie that combinate czech and USA actors, i like the story that is based on real story and we (from Czechia) really good know about it
