Anne Shirley: patron saint of the weird girls, the loud girls, the too-much girls. A feminist icon in puffed sleeves with a vocabulary that could kill a man and a girl who made it holy to be different. She said: be poetic, be delusional, be ungovernable. I said: bet.

One of my favourite comfort shows as summer turns to fall. It’s like Gilmore Girls from the 80s with all the nostalgic and old-school feels set in the magical pre climate changed environment of PEI. Will be back next year to see the series again

You’ll never watch a movie that sums up the melodrama of being 14 better. The last two minutes with Gilbert’s “carrots” made me blush btw they don’t make them like Gilbert anymore

I love the series so obviously I love the movie😭

As someone who has read the books, these are phenomenal

the netflix version (anne with an e) has been of my comfort shows for a while but i love this version even more!! so beautiful loved it

100/10 has to be watched on vhs for the full experience

Absolutely wonderful adaptation of the first couple of books in the Anne of Green Gables series by L M Montgomery. If the acting and scenery don’t pull you in, the soundtrack definitely will!
