Heartbreaking ending. Amazingly written story, palpable acting, progression/pace was spaced perfectly, scene setting and spot selection felt impressive and realistic. It’s rare for a movie to actually make me feel the emotions of the characters, but this has. 8.7/10

absolutely phenomenal film, great story, it is romantic, sad, it has action and the main duo is great, the ending is sad, i love it, Brad Pitt, Marilon Cotillard and Robert Zemeckis cooked this war movie

Beautiful film and definitely one that deserves more recognition. From the first act, it was excellent. Pitt and Cottilard were great together. A fantastic mix of action, espionage, and romance. Great cinematography combined with great sets made for some stellar shots. A few shoddy CGI uses but mostly practical effects which are always better looking. The ending was perfect and impactful. Definitely worth the near 2 hour runtime.

Hella underrated movie, it’s genuinely a blast. Half The English Patient/Casablanca, half WWII spy thriller. How can you not like that???

Steven Knight wrote a very good script, it’s ultimately just intriguing, I’ve seen this like three times before, yet I was still hooked. Set pieces are fab and spread throughout very well, allowing pacing to feel nice and smooth. CGI is often a little wonky, typically hen generating surroundings when inside a car. Score is bland, but serviceable, ditto for how it’s shot.

Also a very underrated Brad Pitt performance, he’s playing two in one for the most part, the “real” him evolving into a different person as he softens as a family man. Marion Cotillard too, although her shine is more present in the first, Morocco half.

One of my favourite WWII dramas out there. I’ve seen it so many times, even if it’s a random one to be attached to.
