The character development, the world building, the action, the horror, the comedy, the visuals, the stunts, the acting, the script, the plot, the ideas, the parallels, the pace, the score, the sound design, the costume design, the practical effects, the casting, the absolute thrill and genius behind this masterpiece is mindblowing. I find it hard to compare to number one because this is totally different. The mystery remains and, by the end, only grows. Sigourney absolutely smashes it as Ripley. The trauma, motherhood, and protectorship went hard, and I loved it.

Hab you seen an alien pls? 👽 This was pretty epic ngl! I do not use that term lightly☝️ i wasn’t sure I was gonna be a fan of this franchise but I’m kinda in deep now after this one especially for the time it was made too INCREDIBLE EFFECTS. I mean gosh the aliens are unbelievable

Great sequel. More really good worldbuilding. The cringe part for me was mainly the highly typecast military people. But Ripley is still absolutely killing it. Makes you root for her wholeheartedly.

This was good, but the first one had a better story. Queen Alien (single mother) stays producing eggs, then loses the entirety of her offspring to a flamethrower and then an explosion. Then she gets sucked into space. Rest in peace.

again like lowkey a perfect movie and as a sequel?! it goes crazy. insanely james cameron. quite literally a mother-off. found out that they kill newt off in the next one cause a writer though she was annoying. when i catch you…

You would not believe what they thought of next. More aliens this time.

I’d follow Ripley anywhere, she’s a boss.
Hudson was my favorite.

What an excellent follow up to a great movie. Visuals still hold up well. Story is better paced and more engaging. Acting is good. Soundscape is great. Well rounded and top tier.

Woof. Idk if I prefer it over the first one, since a lot of it felt action heavy rather than horror heavy, but this was SUCH a good sequel. The cute child propaganda got me, the set design and practical effects were once again INSANE, and Ripley is SO hot and badass.

Way better than the first it’s one those movies you turn your brain of and have a blast though the practical effects are amazing and I love the characters this is one the most fun movies I’ve ever watched 9.8/10

Cameron takes the reigns from Scott and crafts a beautiful sequel. It knows better than to try and clone the original therefore goes off into new territory. This one favors spectacle and action over horror. It doesn't abandon horror completely. An amazing female hero is born.

In my opinion, this is definitely stronger than the first movie. While the first movie built up the atmosphere really well but failed to pay it off for me because of the lackluster special effects, this movie essentially did the opposite. The Xenomorphs look SO much better in this movie, and their movements are so much cooler and more natural. I don’t think the atmosphere was as good, because there was just a lot more going on, but that was really fun in its own way.

The action was a lot better, the special effects were a lot better, and I think the addition of Newt made for a pretty interesting plot. However, I HATED so much of the dialogue. There’s so much stereotypical army stuff in this movie, and so much of it is just cringe and boring. The characters are all pretty lame (with some exceptions), and it just made me feel less invested.

They also did so much flashing light effects, which was almost nauseating to watch. I generally don’t comment on this kind of thing, but this crossed a line with me. Some scenes in this movie are truly unbearable to watch, and it genuinely makes me less likely to rewatch it in the future. MAJOR warning to people with epilepsy 😭

Better than the first I think

A far better than its predecessor in terms of pacing and tense. I like the direction where the series went which is action-focused. Ripley was so badass she carried the whole team indefinitely.

Very very good, but it doesn't make me feel like I'm gonna puke like the first movie does, and generally doesn't make me feel as much of anything aside from "wow! it was very cool that that alien blew up!". still a phenomenal action movie

Vous aimez les aliens du premier mais il vous manquait un peu plus d’action, Cameron vous a compris ! Il est temps de prendre vos armes et de découvrir sa lecture full pétard ! Attention on n’oublie pas les personnages bien écrits et des scènes cultes : gros film ! 🥚

This is the most entertaining of the bunch. Good balance of story and action. Newt is awesome. Bucks and Hudson and Vazquez. Just great cast and supporting characters.

Tough decision to say I didn’t “love” it, but there were a few factors… Sigourney Weaver was still amazing, but the writing for the rest of the cast was terrible, this felt like a Predator movie at some points. The plot didn’t lose me, but the emphasis on explosions was annoying.
