That creature look like some of yall

Bafflement and bewilderment. This may just be one of the best in the entire franchise. Mr. Alvárez knew exactly how to take full advantage of the resources given to him. From cheesy 80s-style catchphrases to the stark silent cinematography. Ridley and Ripley brought us to this world way back, WHEN? Romulus takes the best qualities of each Alien movie and rebirths them into one collective masterpiece. Terror, love, guilt, anger, sadness, fear, hope, you could taste the adrenaline coming off the cast. My ears and eyes got shredded by the sound, set, and costume design. Pure cinema, at its peak.

It was way too slow to start, the characters make some of the worst decisions possible, and the only one who was thinking logically was vilified for saving lives. Too few jump scares. But this movie would be SCARY AF for someone with arachnophobia. And that ENDING though? 🔥🔥🔥

Wasn’t expecting this to be great after what I heard about it. All my friends were wrong. This is fantastic! Old school nods with new flair that pays off well. Story is gripping. Acting is great. Visuals are stellar. Score is artful. Brilliant. I’ll happily watch it again.
