Alien: Romulus

That creature look like some of yall

Bafflement and bewilderment. This may just be one of the best in the entire franchise. Mr. Alvárez knew exactly how to take full advantage of the resources given to him. From cheesy 80s-style catchphrases to the stark silent cinematography. Ridley and Ripley brought us to this world way back, WHEN? Romulus takes the best qualities of each Alien movie and rebirths them into one collective masterpiece. Terror, love, guilt, anger, sadness, fear, hope, you could taste the adrenaline coming off the cast. My ears and eyes got shredded by the sound, set, and costume design. Pure cinema, at its peak.

It was way too slow to start, the characters make some of the worst decisions possible, and the only one who was thinking logically was vilified for saving lives. Too few jump scares. But this movie would be SCARY AF for someone with arachnophobia. And that ENDING though? 🔥🔥🔥

I liked that so much more than I thought I would! The ending got a little weird, but I’m impressed.

Cast was 🔥 Never gave this a real shot until now and I gotta say this was actually a pretty good movie. They keep a pretty fast pace throughout the entire movie and aren’t afraid to kill people off which was awesome. I feel like we got everything you would want in an Alien movie

This movie is by no means bad. In fact it beats a lot of alien movies by far, even putting a couple to shame (which admittedly isn’t a very high bar) so in my ranking of all the films, I’d put this somewhere in the middle. It’s written pretty good but had a lot of weird moments
