It's not at all clear what Stone is getting at, other than suggesting that conquering the world is exhausting and psychologically damaging work.

A meditative approach to the historical epic. Oliver Stone here focuses on the psychology of the conquerer and his unstoppable drive to create a utopia throughout the world. Great performances by Anthony Hopkins and Angelina Jolie with a solid ensemble casting overall 8.5/10

I liked that the movie really sticked to the history though it really really dragged out, there were some questionable editing choices but I can tell there was so much love and thought put to this movie
