Akira

Must watch if you don’t mind animation. Great movie which covers the fears of Japanese society and westernization

If you have never seen this. STOP WHAT YOU ARE DOING AND GO WATCH IT RIGHT NOW!!! This is my favorite movie of all times that is better then most anime today in 2022. Do your self a favor and please watch this. You really won’t be let down.

the only good part of this movie is when they’re riding their bikes

A masterpiece

A full realized world with a dense story.
Never losing it’s heart while talking about much bigger themes, both spiritually and politically

6.5/10 - Stylistically it’s really unique and amazing, especially for its time. Really beautiful and brutal POV. The storyline can be a bit meandering for my taste.
