It could’ve been a good short film but the directors were focusing too much on the aesthetics. Some of the scenes were longer than required and some weren’t needed at all. Overall just very drab and will put you to sleep. Good acting though.

I love Sci-fi films where the technology is present but isn’t the driving force of the film. After Yang could of gone in many directions and I’m glad it chose a more reflective path of memories and unknown past. Watch this and Aftersun on the same night. Great Pairing. 8/10

Just never really connected to it, slow moving. Says a lot when the most charismatic character is an AI robot

The best part of this film is the feeling, like riding a low-key wavelength. It moves at its own pace and has a philosophical ambition. Whether it really lives up to its weight is a different question, but the concepts feel thought provoking and relevant.

Not sure what is gained from making it a movie instead of a short film. Beautiful cinematography and touches on some interesting topics but doesn’t seem to explore them in depth or leaves them half baked…

idk if this went over my head but i just felt like i was waiting for an introduction to end the whole time. i get that this is supposed to be subtle in its storytelling and that it emphasizes on an emotional aspect, but it just wasn’t for me. nice aesthetics. (lily chou-chou!)

There's something extra special about a movie so distracted by its surroundings even when the subject is at the center of the frame. You know what's in the middle, now what do the leaves and trees in the corner tell you?

i had to heavily reflect on this one before deciding how to feel due to its intricacies; such an incredibly unique and contemplative sci-fi film that’s as kind and lovable as it is intelligent. absolutely stunning visuals with an excellent script and heartwarming characters

A gorgeous, futuristic drama that is solemn in tone and very touching. Understated yet thought provoking storyline with a fantastic cast. Science fiction that feels incredibly real. Classic A24 W.

big justin fan but this fell flat for me. just didn't grab my attention.
