After the SIlence

I really enjoyed this film, even though it was such a heartbreaking story. 🥺❤️ Knowing that it’s based on true events made it even more emotional to watch.

I loved how the female social worker, Pam, started building trust with the girl straight away. The moment she made her dad leave the hospital really stood out to me because she wasn’t just telling her she was safe, she was showing her through her actions.

Seeing the scars and bruising on her back genuinely brought tears to my eyes. 💔 It’s heartbreaking to think about what she’d been through, especially at such a young age.

One of my favourite moments was seeing how excited she became when she finally realised she was going to Pam’s house. 🥹❤️ After everything she’d experienced, seeing that happiness was so lovely.

And that ending, when she finally thanked Pam! 😭❤️ Such a simple moment, but it was so emotional after watching their relationship develop throughout the film.

It’s such a sad story, but also a happy one because she finally got the love, safety and care she deserved all along. I thought it was a really touching film, and I’m so glad I watched it. ❤️
