Absolutely Anything
"Absolutely Anything," directed by Terry Jones, is a unique blend of science fiction and comedy, featuring Simon Pegg as Neil Clarke, a disillusioned teacher granted the power to do anything by a group of aliens. The film’s premise offers a whimsical exploration of human desires and the absurdity of life. Pegg’s charming performance anchors the film, portraying a relatable protagonist who grapples with the moral implications of his newfound abilities.
The film’s humor is often hit-or-miss, relying heavily on British comedic sensibilities, with the voice talents of the late Robin Williams as Neil’s talking dog adding a delightful touch. While the plot meanders and occasionally feels disjointed, it provides moments of genuine hilarity and thought-provoking themes about choice and consequence.
Visually, the film captures a playful aesthetic, though some special effects appear dated. Overall, "Absolutely Anything" is an ambitious, if uneven, romp that will entertain fans of Pegg and absurdist comedy, though it may not resonate with all viewers.

I really liked the concept of this, and it should’ve been something I liked. But the execution was a little wonky on some parts. A lot of aspects surrounding consent made me uncomfortable.

Great example of prompt usage for AI and how the wrong prompt can make difference 🤣

Silly British comedy where a guy gets powers from aliens and uses them in the most random ways.
Some jokes hit, some miss, but it’s light, goofy and fun😂

As far as comedy movies go it’s alright, a few laughs here and there, but the concept of someone being able to do anything and the main character not doing the most outrageous stuff is underwhelming.
Instead of asking for tons of money etc, he asks for things to be lazy and for things to only go his way, which is fine in itself and the budget of this film probably wasn’t a lot but it’s just strange.
The story is very subpar as well, not memorable and not really rewatchable either.
