first and foremost go look up the budget for this movie cause that was astonishing haha. but although it was weird and kinda cringey, it wasn’t dull and the whole time i was just laughing cause how bizarre it was. please watch it just for shits and giggles, it was fun honestly

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
It is such a fun and unique way to portray Abraham Lincoln life. The cinematography used to show action fight scenes are extraordinary. The cast is also unique with Dominic cooper and Anthony Mackie staring in the movie. It is such a underrated gem

Rating: 5.1/10 ⭐️
I expected a ridiculous B-movie, but it takes itself surprisingly seriously. A wild mashup of history and gothic horror that swings for the fences, but misses the mark.
The Director’s Eye:
Bekmambetov brings a stylized, graphic-novel look. The sepia-toned palette really grounds the 19th-century setting. As a conservative, I revere Lincoln; reimagining the evil of slavery as a vampire conspiracy is a fascinating metaphor. Benjamin Walker anchors the absurd premise with earnest, emotional weight. The score is bombastic, and the axe-swinging sound design is incredibly punchy.
The Cuts:
The tone is all over the place. Whiplashing between a solemn biopic and a ridiculous action-fest really dragged the pacing down for me. Also, the CGI hasn't aged well—the green-screens and digital animals looked totally unfinished.
Verdict:
A patriotic popcorn flick with messy execution. Fun if you don't mind an absurd twist on history, but no masterpiece.
Favorite Line: "History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds."
