I thought this was hilarious 😂 Robert De Niro & Sebastian Maniscalco have great father/son chemistry. It’s almost like Meet the Parents, but full of immigrant parent jokes. I would have loved if it came out on Father’s Day or July 4th.

Threw this on for the 4th of July weekend because a culture-clash comedy set over Independence Day felt like a perfect holiday match. Honestly really liked how this sweet, silly comedy handles the crazy bond between an old-school dad and his son.

What Worked:
• De Niro is hilarious as Salvo; his stubborn Sicilian charm completely pops.
• The setups around the ultra-wealthy country club lifestyle are super fun.
• Maniscalco’s timing keeps the core father-son dynamic feeling authentic.

The Friction:
• The relationship drama part near the end really dragged for me.
• Some supporting country club characters honestly felt a bit too one-dimensional.

Verdict:
Watch for a heartwarming comedy with great chemistry. Skip if predictable plots annoy you.
