My mental wellbeing was entirely dependent on whether the cat was going to survive

Well, if you are expecting to see a movie about how the aliens picked this planet, this is not that movie! It was an unexpected story of survival of 2 adults struggling with emotional trauma and a cat! The acting was amazing! Not a lot of suspense, but a touching movie!

damn, i honestly expected more. it was good, just not where it should’ve been imo. the cat was the main character, too much screen time. yea he’s cute and all but i really wanted more of how it all started. not as thrilling & intense as part I & part II, the cinematography is beautiful tho. loved that one take in the glass building where the clickers started falling from the sky. that was exhilarating. i will say i would’ve loved to see more of the story behind djimon who we see on the island in part II. like how did he end up on the island… where he meets up with cillian murphy & millicent. just a little more context would’ve been incredible. anyway, still a great watch, the sound design & score are phenomenal. 8 / 10

Another discombobulated franchise to the list. I don't understand the point of this. I was more intrigued by the symbolism in the visuals than by the plot or monsters. The performances were brilliant but plagued with noticeable cuts. I expected more of an in-depth prequel to the first, rather than a silly, almost comedic story. For how serious 1 and 2 are, this is a joke, nearly all the budget and brains went into the cat, and clearly not into the casting. I found it hard to relate with characters I knew nothing about but at least the re-introduction of the monsters was cool, till it wasn't.

7.1 - doesn’t reach the level of the other two stories in this universe, but it was a good time. Lupita Nyong’o is absolutely one of the best face actors working today & was pretty damn perfect for this role. I appreciate Sarnoski’s approach to making this an emotional & human story over another monster action thriller. It doesn’t add a lot to the universe, but I understand it because everything you need to know about the current state of the world is so deeply introduced in the original. The tension is still there. It may not be enough overall to warrant any further universe expansion, but a good trip to the movies nonetheless.

Three movies in, and it’s quite impressive how the Quiet Place series has managed to deliver consistent quality from its seemingly singular hook. I’m not sure there’s much more fuel in the franchise’s tank after this, but three good films should be good enough for anyone.

You don’t need melatonin gummies if you watch this movie. No plot at all and just a bunch of chase scenes. The best part of the movie was when it ended

A Quiet Place: Day One
A Quiet Place: Day One is a good addition to the Quiet Place franchise, serving as a prequel of sorts. While the film is visually compelling, as it succeeds in being a spectacle with amazing imagery, it lacks a profound plot. 3 out of 5 rating

A Quiet Place: Day One
This was decent. I was quite moved at the end; the emotional scenes were done well. These were just two people on Day One and I had to keep that in my mind, rather than focusing on the fact I was looking for lore with this film. Not sure why they made it. It was good though.
