The special effects continue to advance, particularly with a creative waterbed sequence, a hilarious human-meatball snack, and increased levels of bloodshed.

BOOOOO IDC IF THAT CAR SCRAPYARD WAS ONE OF THE COOLEST SETS OF THE FRANCHISE AND THE ASTHMA SCENE WAS SUPER CREATIVE! KILLING THE ONLY BLACK PEOPLE FROM EACH FRIEND GROUP FIRST IS SO CORNY!!! I do actually really like the muted vibe and kills of this one. It’s so much spookier.

Uncle Freddy is back for more slapsticky kills and punchlines galore. This is more the quintessential Krueger that people associate the franchise with, trading the line of comedy laced horror. The kills are amusing but become less actually horrific. Fun, but “scary.”
