Forgot just how confusing this was, but it makes it funny. Would love to know what Shakespeare was on when he wrote this

Visually stunning, a little stilted, but a must see!
A Midsummer Night's Dream is a very complicated play, and can get very silly at times, and this film is surprisingly faithful to the play.

Performances were good but I have some mixed feelings about the bikes. And about “the lack, the lack, the lack” of clothes

Stanley Tucci’s filmography is wild lmao.
It felt like they were speaking in riddles my brain couldn’t always decipher 😂
So visually stunning I love the sets & those dresses😍

Kept getting flashbacks to Off Campus, making Allie the beautiful fairy queen was a brilliant decision.

i’ve seen this at least a dozen times and i just adore it. it’s hilarious, romantic, magical, hopeful, and (since its shakespeare) it’s so deeply imaginative. there are so many things to catch each time you watch this, i feel like it changes as i do. simply put- 10/10

Obviously to a modern audience the story feels a bit funny but the aesthetics of the movie are absolutely stunning

Pros:
Faithful to source material, great acting, Oberon is hot

Cons:
Why use “thee” and “thy” when this film takes place in the 19th century? I know they’re in the play, but they were outdated by this point.

My LA teacher made us watch it for our class, I did not really like it. The whole concept was kind of weird. Bottom also looks less like a donkey and more like a rabbit. I did like some of it though.
