“Love Story” drifts along pleasantly on the warm, easy charm of its leading lady and a cast that feels comfortable together, like folks you’ve known for a while. The story itself can be a bit muddled at times, but it’s cozy enough that you’re mostly happy to go along for the ride. Then, late in the game, a wild plot twist shows up and turns everything upside down—with results that viewers will probably debate over coffee afterward. There isn’t so much as a hint of it in the buildup, either. You really pulled the rug out from under me with that one, Hallmark.
