It could be said that the true beauty of 8 1/2 is found in its confusion. It’s found in the physical and psychological mayhem. It’s found in Fellini’s unique film language and audacious visual approach.

Mixing the sacred and the obscene, 8 1/2 is deeply profound. Despite being a melancholic tale of guilt and aimlessness, it somehow manages to be simultaneously comedic and heartbreaking. Fellini is a master in the very sense of the word. (9/10)

This movie makes me want to wear suits, speak Italian, smoke cigarettes, and be very pretentious.
