this was really good!! i love jack o’connell, and i got to learn a lot about a conflict i had no idea existed (really need to brush up on my world history). a lot of familiar faces were in this movie, barry keoghan as an example. lovely cinematography, as well. would recommend!

An old favorite that I just rewatched. Action/thriller/war movie set in Belfast in the early years of The Troubles. Think ‘Behind Enemy Lines’ but better filmmaking

Watched it in history class in year 11. As someone from Northern Ireland who was born after the troubles, it was very insightful and moving, representing how devastating the troubles were

Immersive and well directed. Bit confusing towards the end deciphering who was catholic and protty. Need to brush up on fenian heritage. Mums got PTSD. 8/10
