Scared me as a kid but it grew on me

We were afraid of 2012 because of this

My 2012 self actually believed it somehow

The title is probably the best thing about this. It evokes fear and interest, especially as it was released before 2012. As a movie, it's a hot pile of slobbering saliva. The acting is as artificial as can be. The story makes absolutely no sense at all, just a bunch of random, over-the-top scenes in a blender. Even if the vfx was good, it was meaningless with the structure. I'd normally say it's mindless fun but you'd genuinely not need a mind to have any dime of fun. Waste of everyone's money and time. This could have been 342 different movies. Instead we have a 2h 30m disastrous disaster.

absolutely freaking SCARED me as a kid. Couldn’t rewatch it for years but nonetheless it’s a good watch.

Stress has never been so amazing. I was skeptical at first, but it brought a feeling of emotion and realism. Fiction never felt so reel. Once again I say, an amazing film!

I lLOVE this kind of movies, back then it was the best but if you’re watching it now you might dislike it

Roland Emmerich has pretty much cornered the market on big budget disaster films.

If the world was to end I’d hope it ended quicker than the length of this movie. Like most Emmerich movies very good effects but horrible dialogue and rubbish plot

Awesome disaster movie about the end of the world.

I thought this was the craziest movie as a kid.

Fun movie. Been a while since I seen it

I was very paranoid as a kid and this movie scared me a lot, but it's really good!

Probably not the most original plot, but if you can look past that it has some incredible animations and cgi and is a fun movie to just turn your brain off and watch.
