6/10 liked the plot and bromance, although it didn’t need 2hrs to tell the story (cut back on the action scenes, bring this down to 1hr 30mins). Give it a watch.

I expected a brainless popcorn flick, but the chaotic chemistry between the leads made it a wildly entertaining ride.

What Worked:
Wood’s handheld cinematography gives the shootouts a raw, tactile weight fitting the neo-Western vibe. Through my Methodist faith lens, seeing Bobby and Stig learn to trust each other after betrayal reminds me that true brotherhood means having someone’s back. Tronick’s editing also perfectly balances explosive action with Denzel and Mark’s snappy banter.

The Cuts:
The middle part really dragged for me; too many double-crosses stall the momentum. Keeping it spoiler-free, the cookie-cutter villains feel one-dimensional, leaving the stakes half-baked. Plus, the tone abruptly shifting between a dark crime thriller and a goofy buddy-comedy felt pretty inconsistent to me.

Verdict:
A fun buddy-cop ride fueled by its leads. Perfect for explosive laughs, but skip if you need a tight thriller.
