1917’s cinematography is great. The use of the long shot in this film is brilliant. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. 8/10

One of the best movies I ever seen. The cinematography is, not only breathtaking, but the director’s choice of extended scenes was perfect as it makes you feel like you are truly going on the journey with the protagonist. It is heartbreaking, powerful, and beautiful. Must watch!!

What an amazing experience. The raw uncut scenes were amazing, half of the movie was just pointless silence and yet it always felt purposeful. Amazing. One of the few war movies I really enjoyed.

It features a realistic portrayal of a true remarkable story following the appalling journey of two soldiers having to call off the attack against Germany. Such a moving film. If you’re a history buff like myself then you will absolutely love this and watch on repeat.

This would have evoked a lot more emotion if the main characters weren’t british. It’s just so hard to be empathetic for those people

one of the more impressively shot films i’ve ever seen - i counted only 2 cuts the entire 2 hour run time - the acting especially by the lead was incredibly emotional and powerful - cinematography was so vivid and the film was packed with incredibly powerful frames - the lack of dialogue really made the story hit so much harder as you endured the struggles and solitude along with the main character
