riveting from start to end, all of the stories and characters had something interesting going on and it really impacted me
of course it’s a fictionalized retelling, but i think it rings true to the concepts they were trying to explore and lets you come to your own conclusions

close to getting a dislike but the acting was good. by about halfway through, i thought to myself, “this can’t be all there is,” but then i realized there was no plot to be resolved in the first place. super melodramatic in a pointless way. artsy with zero substance.

I really liked how this was filmed, the grainy picture made it feel authentic to its setting
It wasn’t pure seriousness even though its story is definitely more creepy and and disturbing
Plot wise I would say it wasn’t what I was expecting just because I thought it would go into more about the DA and how that ended up with the show getting canceled and not just end the movie on the DAs death but it wasn’t a bad ending
When I was telling my mom about it she brought up how in reviews people were saying about the movie it seemed like they wanted the predator catchers to be seen as an “is this wrong” type of thing and I did sort of get that impression from the movie too but it also reminded me of a scene from nymphomaniac I’m not sure if it’s vol 1 or 2
But basically the main character is telling this man about when she would berate and beat up people who were in debt to a company she worked for and one of the times the person she was berating was a pedophile and he had never met up with children and he was deeply ashamed of his attraction and the main character felt wrong about using this shame against him but the man she was telling the story too tried to comfort her by saying the pedophile deserved it for for being a pedophile
(I hope I’m not remembering that too incorrectly)
I definitely think this show was great for catching predators
I only remember seeing a couple episodes in passing when I was younger bc i think it was already off air by then
Also Robert Pattinson did a great job like he really felt creepy and distressed and the story about being in India and the missing children was really disturbing (although idk how much of that is like true)

Pattinson’s performance is a stunning example of his acting range. The supporting cast is equally exemplary. The film is bold, imaginative, and darkly funny. Felt like existing in the static, in between screen and reality. Eye-opening in witnessing Hansen gradually unravel.

“Decoy DAAAAANNNNNN!”
Really intense movie. Love the super hardcore color saturation, really enjoyed the pacing of the story and the subplots with Dan and Andi and how it all came together, and Pattinson just kills it as Chris Hansen. Skyler Gisondo is awesome in this as well. I thought they balanced the morality really well too, not making Hansen look like the villain, but still questioning the methods behind the camera.
Definitely recommend!

Pro Epstein propaganda, could’ve been a phenomenal film but the Jewish director other priorities (not surprising) Robert Pattinson gave a good performance yet at the cost of portraying a good man as a villain, glad to hear that he didn’t like how the film portrayed Chris Hansen but upsetting that he decided to continue the project.

“How about a Pepsi” 8.0/10
I have loved Hanson, How to Catch a Predator, and Pattinson for years now so this review could be a bit biased. I very much enjoyed the plot and pacing of this movie, along with the creative filming style. Although I think the truth is only maybe 30% of the movie, it’s still a very entertaining and fun watch. Pattinson killed it as Hanson and the supporting actors also were great. It might’ve drug a little in the end but I really enjoyed this one. If you’re into true crime, thrillers, Hanson, Pattinson this is for you.

The performances and cinematography were outstanding.
I really don’t think the movie entirely coveys the message they were trying to.

Solid 7 out of 10, everything was great except for the plot, it felt like there wasn’t one, there wasn’t a point. It was very interesting to see the psychological downfall of Chris Hansen in the movie but otherwise it didn’t feel like it had a reason to be made.

A good one time watch. The acting was great but the gravity of the disgust one was supposed to feel wasn’t there. The disgust not only for the predators but the need to get more views and attention was noticeable but not impactful. Colour tone of red to blue was very prevalent.

never really watched the original show.
went into it lowkey blind, and just for mr pattinson.
fun watch, definitely a different role i’ve seen robert act on but he ate it up.
the cinematography & color pallet is what caught my eye the most + the visual hidden cameras
felt like i was watching the show in a different perspective.
great watch overall.
