Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1

9.5 - I know it’s a hot take, but an argument could be made this is the best of the series. So much depth & balance that’s been missing. It was a hated decision at the time, but splitting this story allowed for so much improvement. Best cinematography, A+ attention to (cont.)

8.5/10 - great booj adaptation even with alot of the plot taken out or rearranged. j.K is sick for that ending and i will never forgive her

not as good as 4-6 but i still can’t help being completely entranced by it. i just love harry potter so much.

it’s most major imperfection is its lack of structure. i get that they wanted to split up the last book into two films but this movie’s plot suffered for it. not really a distinct beginning, middle, or end, but rather a continuous story of different happenings. it was well done all things considered, just harder to make a movie out of what they were working with. also no hogwarts in this part of the story.

the scene with hermione and bellatrix gives me chills. her screams send freaking quivers down my spine bro oh my god. so well done. although i must say what bellatrix actually did to her was a little underwhelming.

dobby’s death is also very sad. his last words? heartbreaking.

i forgot how much i idolize emma watson. it’s ridiculous how perfect she is.
